As we approach the holiday season in such challenging economic times Diablo FC is asking for your assistance. During our 10th annual Halloween Kick or Treat Classic this weekend we will be collecting food items on behalf of the Food Bank of Contra Costa and Solano. All donations will go to the Monument Crisis Center in Concord.

We will have collection bins all day Saturday and Sunday at both the Daniel Boatwright Sports Complex and Krueger Playfields. The bins will be by the field marshal tables. We encourage all the participating team's families to look in their kitchen cabinets and see if there are some canned or package foods you can spare for families who really need the assistance.

All Diablo FC families are encouraged to stop by and make a donation as well. While you're there take some time to watch our youngest teams take part in the U9 and U10 tournament. There are 60 teams from throughout Northern California participating in this tournament, our final one of 2008.
